Quality Assurance Tester - Project Based (Temp/Contract) Position

 

Harmonix is actively seeking enthusiastic testers who thrive in dynamic environments, who are passionate about music and games and who possess a strong eye for detail.


Responsibilities

  • Test pre-release versions of one of our forthcoming Harmonix titles while they are in development.
  • Identify quickly and report clearly and concisely issues found during testing.
  • Develop, write, and run test cases for projects in active development.
  • Work independently and as a part of the development team to execute the testing strategy for the project.
  • Provide thoughtful, professional written and verbal feedback on gameplay related issues.


Qualifications

  • Passion for games (music games a plus), video game audiences and the game development process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivated to improve the quality of the product and the process.
  • Ability to multitask while being flexible to changing priorities.


Additional Preferred Experience

  • Previous game QA positions, specifically mobile, PC and/or VR platforms.
  • Technical writing/documentation
  • Bug tracking and test case management software experience
  • Operating in an agile development environment
  • Game certification standards and best testing practices
  • Streaming gameplay, publicly or privately, preferably with music games
