Fantasia at San Diego Comic-Con 2014

This year, Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved was invited to participate in the Xbox Lounge at San Diego Comic-Con.

The lounge at the Manchester Grand Hyatt was home to tons of exciting Xbox titles, including Harmonix's other awesome Kinect game, Dance Central Spotlight.

This is Fantasia's second year at San Diego Comic-Con, however this time around, we brought a playable demo that has come a long way from what we had available at last year's showcase.

We had nearly the entire soundtrack available for play at the showcase. There were many inspired renditions of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Feel Good Inc." by the Gorillaz, "Night on Bald Mountain", and much more. We had several folks return to perform as many tracks as possible before the end of the weekend. If you're one of those people and happen to be reading this - thanks so much for playing!

On Thursday night at the Xbox lounge, we were invited to demo at an after hours event with food and cocktails. Our kiosk was just across the room from the lovely Aisha Tyler, who was hosting a live podcast that night. The Fantasia kiosk was super active all night long and ended with an energetic "Bohemian Rhapsody" sing-a-long. People really do love that song. Rightfully so.

The party continued all weekend long with attendees of all ages stopping by the kiosk to give the game a shot. Even though we've been on the road with this game for a while now, it's still pretty magical watching people get immersed in performance and reaching that a-ha! moment of understanding how the gestures work. Smiles all around!

With SDCC behind us and just a few more events leading up to launch, we're finally able to count down the days to the game's release. We look forward to everyone getting a chance to try the game for themselves this October.
