Animation Intern (Remote Option)

Harmonix is looking for a talented, passionate, and motivated aspiring Animator to join us in creating innovative music game experiences. This is a paid, full-time internship for the summer (or longer, depending on your availability). You will work with our animation team to create high quality facial and body animations for games we are developing. Candidates will be considered for a full-time role at the conclusion of the internship.

Note: this position can be fully remote and does not require relocation to Boston (although we are open to relocation and local candidates). Our studio has operated effectively with remote employees in the past, both prior to and during the pandemic.

 

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding animation portfolio
  • Experience with Maya or equivalent 3D package
  • Passionate relationship to music required; musicians preferred
  • Experience in a prior job (any field); proven track record of reliability
  • Knowledgeable about contemporary games and game trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize requests, and meet expected milestones

 

Bonus Qualities:

  • Familiarity with and passion for music games
  • Experience with MotionBuilder
  • Experience with Unreal 4 and/or Unity
