DLC Week of 1/09: Green Day and Weezer!

Icons only this week on new DLC tracks from Green Day and Weezer in Rock Band 4!

“Father Of All…”, the recent Green Day single from the upcoming album of the same name, is a testament to the band’s enduring commitment to edgy, thought-provoking lyrics set to music anybody can groove to. Everybody is putting in the work this week with demanding vocals, drums, guitar, and bass alike. The track flows almost immediately into a steady groove so be prepared to rock from the jump! Smooth falsetto in one moment to a powerful belt throughout the chorus, Billie Joe Armstrong’s vocals are tight as ever. Bassists beware! Nuanced riffs and runs will keep you on your toes and will prove a real challenge to even the most dexterous of hands.

“The End of the Game” from Weezer has an undeniably classic rock sound with various notable influences from intro to outro. Released in anticipation of their upcoming tour, Weezer gives us all something to be excited about for when Van Weezer releases later this year. An epic guitar riff leads into a Weezer staple strumming pattern supported and encouraged by dramatic and emotional drums. The expert form crafting sets up a perfect opportunity for Rivers Cuomo to stretch his story-telling legs, with impactful lyrics in his trademark nearly conversational delivery. A casual sounding first verse sets the tone and continues to build into the bridge until the final chorus when the opening riff is revisited and leads the song into a final chorus where everyone can rock! Be prepared to bring the energy to do justice to this near instant party classic.

Songs can be purchased individually for $1.99. The Rock Band Rivals Season 15 Spotlight Pass can be purchased for $13.99.
