Two songs from the almost award-winning, fourth most-popular folk duo in New Zealand come to Rock Band 4 this week!
It’s been 20 years since Flight of the Conchords formed at the Victoria University of Wellington (that’s also in New Zealand!). Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement were flatmates at the time, originally studying theatre and film, which helps explain the band’s focus on live shows and television. Flight of the Conchords has built up quite the following with radio series, late night show appearances, cable specials, and more. All around the world, people know and revere the name ‘Flight of the Conchords’.
And what better time than the 20th anniversary of Flight of the Conchords to release their music in Rock Band 4? This week brings us “Business Time” and “The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room)” to coincide with their new television special. Bordering on the absurd, “Business Time” will teach you how business socks got their name, while “The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room)” helps to keep people humble. Some great life lessons here, all delivered in those lovely New Zealand accents that everyone is falling over these days. In “Business Time”, you’ll find funk strumming for guitar, setting the groove of the song. The quickest way to pin down “The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room)” vocals is to pull out your tried and true falsetto to match the song.
