DLC Week of 11/12: The Killers and OK Go!

Welcome to this sugary sweet week of DLC featuring The Killers and OK Go.

Las Vegas band The Killers released their sixth studio album, Imploding the Mirage, in August 2020. Focused on an upbeat, synth-driven sound, the band got very positive reviews on their return to music since 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful. “Caution” was The Killers’ lead single from Imploding the Mirage, and it offers up the excuse to dance and lose yourself to the beat. Brandon Flowers’ vocals are booming and anthemic while singing lyrics that are an ode to their homeland of Las Vegas. The guitar shines through and the rhythm section keeps the pace that will leave at least your toes tapping throughout the ~4-minute runtime.

OK Go blended genres and created something truly groovy with “White Knuckles”. This song appears on their third studio album, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky.  The band traces a lot of the song’s inspiration back to the Minneapolis sound of the 80’s. Funky guitar and basslines emanate throughout “White Knuckles”, do your best to show off your moves while catching that FC. Fun fact, “White Knuckles” also appeared in the film The Cabin in the Woods.

Don’t forget about Season 19’s Season Pass. It includes *all* of the new DLC that will be released over the course of Season 19, regardless of whether it is in the spotlight or not.  It’s a big bundle with a big savings. The Season 19 Season Pass is available for purchase now.

The Killers’ “Caution” and OK Go’s “White Knuckles” will be available for $1.99 on the Rock Band Music Store.
