It’s time, y’all. Going Country gets a TENTH pack, becoming the first pack name to reach double digits. We know you’re fixin’ to see what is included, and we’ve got all the details below.
"Burnin' It Down" is the lead single from Jason Aldean's sixth album Old Boots, New Dirt. The song hit the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart by its second week, leading to the album debuting at #1 a few months later. It became the fastest platinum single of 2014 and also won Top Country Song at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. The drum beat is perfect for learning to step up a difficulty, featuring a fast pattern on the hi-hat, snare, and kick. The vocals are that well-known country fashion with plenty of scoops. Several patterns rotate in and out on guitar the whole song, but bass is just a notch tougher here.
Sam Hunt gave us a taste of his next album last year with "Body Like A Back Road". The song ended 2017 having broken several decades-old chart records for consecutive weeks at #1, and is now Sam Hunt's highest-charting single after cracking the Billboard Top 10. With appeal like that, we're eager to hear the rest of his second album. Every time the lead instrumental line repeats, you'll notice a slight difference from the prior occurrence since all three instances have a tweak to them. The vocals are mostly consistent and it's a great song to learn harmonies on. Between that and the broad singalong power of the track, it's great to get an entire room to crowd mics for.
"That Don't Impress Me Much" also joins Rock Band, the Shania Twain single from Come On Over, which is one of the ten best-selling albums in the United States. One of Shania Twain's biggest singles, it remains a signature song of hers. Crossover appeal made it a top 10 Hot 100 hit, while reaching top 10 spots in over a dozen other countries as well. You'll stay busy on guitar the entire song, another example of how fun country charts can be. Drums are great for dipping your toes into Expert with, holding down a standard beat at a reasonable speed. Vocals bring another great karaoke song to the table and they're decently tough! Keeping up with Shania will prove to be a challenge, but nothing will feel better than succeeding.
