DLC Week of 5/16: Arch Enemy, Judah & the Lion, and Paul Henry Smith & The Fauxharmonic Orchestra!

Energize your library with new DLC from Arch Enemy, Judah & the Lion, and Paul Henry Smith & The Fauxharmonic Orchestra!

“Nemesis” is the full throttle, fiery single off Arch Enemy’s sixth studio album, Doomsday Machine. “Nemesis” embodies the intensity of the album, which ranked in the top 15 of Billboard’s Top Independent Albums and landed a spot in Rock Hard Magazine’s book The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time. This track is going to be tough to master on any instrument you pick up. Guitar parts shift between solid rhythmic patterns to shredding solos as rapid bass lines keep the track moving. Drums are a challenge of their own with blazing fast foot work and complex but precise fills. Finally, the iconic vocal sound in this song has a particular character, so experiment with matching it or create a sound all your own!

Judah & the Lion’s uninhibited single, “Over My Head”, joins the Rock Band catalog this week. This track was among the first singles from the band’s recent album Pep Talks, setting the bar for a great release. “Over My Head”, which hit the top 10 of the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, is a track packed with energy – whether it’s coming from the heavy synth lines or passionate vocals. You can expect to have a blast playing huge dynamic drum and guitar parts under a chorus that’s hard not to sing along to. To learn more about Judah & the Lion, visit www.judahandthelion.com where you can find tickets to their ongoing world tour and watch music videos like “Over My Head” and “Why Did You Run?” from Pep Talks. There’s also a great array of merch available including albums, jerseys, sweatshirts, hats, and pins!

Paul Henry Smith & The Fauxharmonic Orchestra bring some distinct flair to DLC this week with “Night on Bald Mountain (Mussorgsky)”. This unique piece is an adaption of Modest Mussorgsky’s Romantic work and features a style all its own. Paul Henry Smith transforms the work with a wide range of electronic instruments. Synthesizers blast booming bass and melodic horn lines, while an entire orchestral percussion section is represented by a bold electronic drum set. Get your crew together and experience how fun this unique piece is to play in the Rock Band setting.

For the first two weeks of release, “Over My Head” can be purchased individually for $1.49. Following that two week period, it can be purchased individually for $1.99. Songs can be purchased individually for $1.99. The Rock Band Rivals Season 11 Spotlight Pass can be purchased for $11.99.
