DLC Week of 6/07: Asking Alexandria and Seether!

June’s kicking off with DLC from Asking Alexandria and Seether!

“A Prophecy” appeared on Asking Alexandria’s debut album Stand Up and Scream in 2009. The album proved to have staying power, holding a spot on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart for nearly a year after release. The band also released a music video for “A Prophecy” in 2010, and since then it has become one of their most commonly played live tracks. The song is pretty tough thanks to being through-composed, which basically means each section is unique and does not get repeated. That makes for a lot of changes in a song that isn’t easy to begin with. Drums will make for the toughest part, with strings not far behind.

Seether released “Country Song” as the advance single from their 2011 album Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray. The song topped the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart, and that performance helped the album debut at #2 on the Billboard 200, while reaching #1 on the Alternative, Hard Rock, and Top Rock Albums charts. “Country Song” is a good all-around time, with active, fun parts for everyone in the band. The guitar even gets a pair of solos to play!

Songs can be purchased individually for $1.99 each.
