It’s a metal kind of week in Rock Band 4, as songs by Dream Theater and Pierce The Veil come to the Rock Band Music Store.
The Dream Theater epic, “Pull Me Under”, is coming to DLC after appearing in Rock Band VR. The lead single off Dream Theater’s second studio album, Images and Words, it quickly became the band’s ‘signature song’ after reaching #10 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. You may even know the single’s B-side, as “Metropolis—Part I: "The Miracle and the Sleeper"” is featured on the Rock Band 4 disc. Both the guitar and drums are in the highest difficulty tier, as you would expect from Dream Theater. Bass is just behind, but is certainly no slouch. At over eight minutes, the song is an endurance test no matter what instrument is being played.
“Circles” by Pierce The Veil, also in Rock Band VR, is the second DLC release by the band, after "King For A Day (feat. Kellin Quinn)" was featured in the pre-order bonus for Rock Band 4. Charting at #31 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, warm weather is a great time to release a song with this much energy. To that end, “Circles” features a great singalong vocal part, and the instruments are equally as energetic, giving the song a well-rounded play experience that anyone will enjoy. There’s plenty of drum fills and guitar riffs scattered through the song to keep variety high.
