DLC Week of 6/13: Circa Survive and Sleeping With Sirens!

Start your Season break off right with DLC from Circa Survive and Sleeping With Sirens!

Circa Survive starts the week off with “The Difference Between Medicine and Poison is in the Dose”. Strong songs like “The Difference Between Medicine and Poison is in the Dose” propelled On Letting Go, Circa Survive’s second album, to far greater heights than their debut, placing over 150 spots higher on the Billboard 200. Drums and vocals are the highlights in this track, with harmonies accenting specific words and phrases throughout the song and drums testing stick control with an unyielding hi-hat pattern. The kick pedal also matches the bassline in the verses.

“If I’m James Dean, You’re Audrey Hepburn” is the opening track and lead single of Sleeping With Sirens’ memorable debut album With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear. The album quickly rose to the top 10 of the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and was praised particularly for singer Kellin Quinn’s strong vocal performance. “If I’m James Dean, You’re Audrey Hepburn” is a testament to this with an incredibly expansive vocal range of both notes and timbres. Don’t think the rest of the band just takes a backseat though. Drums are precise, even with flurries of notes, while guitar and bass lines weave complex passages underneath. This one might take some Crew bonding to reach perfection.

Songs can be purchased individually for $1.99.
