We have two artists making their Rock Band Music Library debut next week – Bastille & The Black Eyed Peas.
Bastille’s “Pompeii” is an incredibly catchy major hit, reaching #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Alternative Songs chart. There are lots of harmonies in this song, and they get dense in the choruses, presenting a fun challenge. The drum part is unique, with interesting patterns, especially on Pro Drums.
The Black Eyed Peas’ 2009 hit “I Gotta Feeling” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and later hit #1 and became the longest-running number-one single of the year. The Grammy-winning track features intricate vocals and is a great 3-microphone harmony song. If you’re throwing a Rock Band party, this song is an excellent addition to your party playlist.
