Hailing from small town Alberta, Canada, Calling All Captains are making waves with their unique blend of pop-punk and post-hardcore sounds. “Tailspin” premiered in May of this year and features a ripping lead guitar riff, some fantastic drum patterns and fills, as well as a melodic yet aggressive vocal chorus. This track is definitely a fun one to play regardless of your instrument.
For the last 20 years, Utah-based rock band The Used has been releasing groundbreaking albums and hit singles. “The Bird and the Worm” was the first single for their 2007 album Lies for the Liars. “The Bird and the Worm” has a cinematic quality to it with the various string parts and metallic percussion backing up the deep chanting vocal parts that break up the incredibly guitar heavy riffs and drum patterns.
