Harmonix @ PAX East 2016: The Booth

Cian with the community team here! I wanted to take a quick break from sipping on my cocoa to give you some details about the Harmonix booth at PAX East this year. So, without further ado let’s get to it! This year we’ll have our biggest PAX booth yet (booth number 6092). Once again we’re highlighting multiple games, each showcasing the past, present, and future of the studio in their own way. Aside from Rock Band 4, we’ll also be showing Harmonix Music VR, Amplitude, and Beat Sports.

We’ve got an incredible stage set up, where you’ll be able to jam out on the latest version of Rock Band 4. With over 1,700 songs available, choosing a song may seem daunting. But worry not! We’ve got your back with a brand new site listing all songs that’ll go live before the show. Don’t like using your phone’s data or don’t trust convention center Wi-Fi? We’ve also got every track available listed on the outside wall of our booth.

But there’s more than just Rock Band, we’re showcasing a diverse line up of games. First up is an area dedicated to Harmonix Music VR, the upcoming music spatializer for PlayStation®VR. We’re incredibly excited about Harmonix Music VR as it presents a wholly unique way to experience music that simply isn’t possible with other tech. We’ll be showing off the Easel at our booth, an environment that lets music bring the art you make to life. We’ll also have Amplitude, so you’ll be able to prove just how good you are in front of your friends (or just try out the game for the first time). Rounding out the lineup is Beat Sports, allowing players to try their hand at the sports centric rhythm mini-game collection built for Apple TV.

You’ll also have a chance to pick up some awesome swag, including Rock Band 4 branded bandanas and guitar picks. Oh, and some Amplitude and Rock Band 4 Pinny Arcade pins for fans who play each respective game at the booth. We’ve heard those are pretty popular? Also, our friends at AbleGamers – a wonderful charity, enabling people with disabilities to play games – will be offering a limited quantity of both pins for people who donate $20 per pin over in the Diversity Lounge (Room 151AB).

PAX East takes place in our backyard, so there will be plenty of fine folks from the studio working the booth throughout the weekend. We’d love to meet and hear about you, your favorite memes, whether you prefer mozzarella sticks or wedges, and anything else that strikes your fancy. We’re here to chat and answer questions!

That about sums it up, so stop by the booth, say hi, and play some games if you’re at the show! Now excuse me while I finish this delicious cup of cocoa.
