Hey gang!

In keeping with holiday tradition, we have a special gift for our Rock Band™ Rivals faithful! We are releasing a suite of character assets, track skins, and instruments to grow your customization. We also have an update to the Rock Band Companion App. Read on for more details!



If you want to customize your character, they can now be a very spooky dog (Halloween never ends if we can help it!) or eaten by a shark, but slow enough that they can finish the show they’re putting on. Probably. Right?



It’s been a while since we’ve updated the instruments in the Rock Shop – so here are a set of new basses and guitars to give your character. These are based on some classic Rock Band art, some of which even made its way onto some actual custom shop guitars made by the Fender team! Check out the one Game Informer gave away for Extra Life for a quick example, then go equip your favorite.



Lastly, we’ve given your Track Skin collection a few new additions with some gnarly tattoo style skins and also some more abstract selections that feature some cool FX work from our art team. Check ‘em out in the Rock Shop and let us know what you think!



And surprise! We will be releasing a new version of the Rock Band Companion App into a public beta in the next few weeks. It will be fully updated to support Rivals mode, including the LP metric. For Rivals players, this is a must-have free download, great for checking out Crew progress and checking IN with, and chatting with, your Crew members at a glance.
