Third Break Week
From the world’s premiere pirate-themed metal band Alestorm, “Back Through Time” is the first track from their 2011 album of the same name. “Back Through Time” features incredibly fast drum and guitar riffs including a shred-filled solo, and lyrics about time-traveling battles between pirates and vikings. This track is both fun and challenging.
Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, hard rock band HourCast released their debut record, State of Disgrace, in 2006 and their sophomore album, Dystopia, in 2010. “Freakshow” is the 6th track from Dystopia and features a driving guitar intro and main riff, a drum part filled with great tom and four-on-the-floor kick sections, and a fun bassline.
