DLC Week of 1/27: Avril Lavigne and Sugarcult

Tough As Rails Skateboarding Game

Whether you’re perfecting that kickflip backside tailslide down the six stair hubba or grinding phone lines, you’re probably listening to some awesome music. From punk and ska to metal and hip-hop, skateboarding games over the past 20 years have had some of the most iconic soundtracks of all time. Time to pick your favorites by commenting with your spotlight picks for this week’s challenge.

“Sk8er Boi” was the second single from Avril Lavigne’s debut 2002 album Let Go. The massive success of both “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated” helped Let Go become the best-selling album of the 21st century by a Canadian Artist and helped skyrocket Avril’s career. “Sk8er Boi” features a driving pop-punk guitar progression, an upbeat drum groove and Avril’s strong vocal delivery of the song’s massively catchy chorus.

From Sugarcult’s 2004 album Palm Trees and Power Lines, “Memory” was the lead single for the album and remains as the band’s most popular song. “Memory” starts with a drum intro and strummed guitar riff as the band enters and the track transforms into a pop-punk classic with an upbeat rhythm and classic four chord chorus. “Memory” is a perfect track for not only a skateboarding-themed week, but for any fan of fun, upbeat pop-punk

Both of these awesome tracks are included in the Season 25 Season Pass. Pick it up today and save big on the entire season of DLC.

Avril Lavigne “Sk8er Boi” and Sugarcult “Memory” are available for $1.99 each.
