“The Explorer”
Embrace the unknown in this week’s Personality Challenge: The Explorer. New DLC this week from Lit (“Mouth Shut”) and Save Face (“Bury Me (Tonight)”) will help kickstart your adventure.
Since bursting out of the Orange County music scene in the mid-90’s, Lit have been steadily releasing a string of critically acclaimed albums while amassing a rabid fanbase. Their 7th studio album, Tastes Like Gold, releases this June and their single “Mouth Shut” releases this week on 4/27/22. We’re excited to have their brand new single “Mouth Shut” available as DLC. The song will put a smile on your face with its sunny O.C. vibe, fun tempo changes and great chorus (not to mention some wicked guitar work).
Our next new DLC song, Save Face “Bury Me (Tonight)”, was one of the featured singles from the New Jersey band's second full length. Another Kill For The Highlight Reel, released late last year, shows their growth from their debut album just 3 years prior. A melting of genres and musical ideas, Another Kill For The Highlight Reel is the sound of a band coming into its own. Band mastermind Tyler Povanda challenged himself and the band's sound by incorporating a multitude of instruments (including pianos, string sections, and horns) and infusing an almost theatrical musicality at times. “Bury Me (Tonight)” is a perfect example with tons of variety between instruments and vocal stylings throughout the song.
