DLC Week of 5/26: Foo Fighters and Dee Gees

Foo Fighters Bonus Challenge

We’re heading into the holiday weekend with a bonus challenge you won’t want to pass up. The spotlight is on Rock Band royalty this week with the Foo Fighters Bonus Challenge. All Foo Fighters’ DLC songs in Rock Band are in play so get your reps in before the challenge kicks off on Thursday.  We’re adding two more songs to the pot with our new DLC selections this week: Dee Gees “You Should Be Dancing” and Foo Fighters “Making A Fire”.

Dee Gees fantastic cover of the ‘70s classic “You Should Be Dancing” kicks off our new DLC this week. SPOILER ALERT! Dee Gees is actually a Foo Fighters side project who released a special album, Hail Satin, for Record Store Day 2021. Hail Satin features 5 covers performed by Dee Gees on side A and the flip side contains 5 live performances of songs from Medicine at Midnight. “You Should Be Dancing” is an all around crowd pleaser staying true to the seminal original. Percussionists will have a field day with the uptempo groove and vocalists best be prepared to get their falsetto on!

Our second DLC release this week is “Making A Fire”, the lead track from Foo Fighters’ tenth studio album, Medicine at Midnight. Released as a single mid-2021, the song soon became a mainstay at radio and quickly climbed to #1 on both the Billboard Mainstream Rock and  Rock & Alternative airplay charts. The song kicks off with a chorus of vocals and dives into a funky, ¾ groove with plenty of back and forth interplay between the vocals and strings.

Both of these awesome tracks are included in the Season 26 Season Pass. Pick it up today and save big on the entire season of DLC.

Dee Gees “You Should Be Dancing” and Foo Fighters “Making A Fire” are available for $1.99 each.
