“Graduation Party”
The pomp and circumstance is over. Toss your caps in the air as we celebrate the grads with our 2nd Rivals Challenge of Season 27: Graduation Party. This is your week to party before the crushing awareness that your school days are behind you. Don’t panic. Your future looks bright, especially with Dirty Honey “California Dreamin’” and Veruca Salt “Seether” DLC coming this week. Congratulations and good luck!
We’re big fans of Dirty Honey and are excited to bring “California Dreamin’” to Rock Band. This marks the 3rd song from the band in the DLC library (if you haven’t grabbed “Rolling 7s” or “When I’m Gone” yet, what are you waiting for?). “California Dreamin’” was the lead single from their eponymous 2021 debut album and captures the band at their peak performance. The song features many elements that make Dirty Honey’s music ideal for Rock Band. Wailing guitar solos, big beefy drums and hard rockin’ vocals for singers to really belt out.
Veruca Salt “Seether” is our second DLC addition this week. Celebrating their 30th anniversary as a band, Veruca Salt was formed in Chicago, IL as the brainchild of musicians Nina Gordon and Louise Post. The band released “Seether” as their debut single and the song immediately struck a chord with college and alternative radio programmers. The subsequent success of the single and their debut album, American Thighs, led to a major label deal and, within months, the band were headlining tours and amassing a sizable fanbase. “Seether” roars right from the start, with the crunchy, iconic guitar riffs and melodies the whole crew can get behind.
