Grab your forks - we’re serving up some delectable treats this week. You’ve matured a lot this season so it’s time to recognize that growth in the Rivals Challenge: Sweet 16. It’s nothing but great radio jams to get you and your friends in the mood to groove. Get the celeb-RAE-tion started with new DLC this week: Carly Rae Jepsen “I Really Like You” and Tate McRae “she’s all i wanna be”.
Our first DLC release this week is “I Really Like You” from Carly Rae Jepsen’s third album, Emotion. “I Really Like You” was the first single dropped in advance of the album and helped maintain the momentum started with Jepsen’s Grammy-nominated smash “Call Me Maybe”. “I Really Like You” received critical and commercial acclaim, topping multiple charts around the world and was certified Platinum in the U.S. soon after release. The song kicks off with booming drums and a wash of synths and builds to the unforgettable chorus. Vocalists will have fun matching Jepsen’s wide-ranging vocals and the whole crew will be singing by the end of the song.
Our second new DLC release is “she’s all i wanna be” from Tate McRae’s recently released debut, i used to think i could fly. Born in Calgary, McRae first rose to prominence thanks to her dancing prowess. She won multiple competitive dance competitions and was a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance. After a pair of successful EP releases over the past two years, McRae released i used to think i could fly to much acclaim. She’s garnered 4 billion streams, 800 million video views and was recently nominated for “The New Artist of 2021” at the People’s Choice Awards and a 2022 Billboard Music award. “she’s all i wanna be” is a thrill ride for the guitars and bass. The lead guitar has a frenetic pace and bassists will need focus to stay locked into the groove.
