I Know What You're Thinking (Telepathy)
Our super-powered Season 28 starts this week! If you could have one superpower, what would it be? The first S28 Rivals Challenge focuses on Telepathy so we already know your answer. Bob Moses formed in New York City and quickly earned praise for their dancefloor-friendly grooves and intelligent songwriting. The duo (musicians/producers Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance) released their debut album in 2015, scored a GRAMMY win in 2017 and were nominated for Live Act of the Year at the Electronic Music Awards soon thereafter. Bob Moses released their latest album, The Silence in Between, this past March. The album spawned their most successful single to date, “Love Brand New”, which recently sat atop the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart for three weeks. “Love Brand New” features a head-bobbing rhythm that offers a fun challenge for bass players and drummers. The melodic vocals glide over the synths and guitars giving vocalists a chance to shine.

Our second new DLC song this week is The Faim “The Hills”. The single is from the Australian quartet’s second album, Talk Talk, which was released last month. After meeting in high school, the friends began writing songs together and soon The Faim was born. After cutting their teeth on the road, the group spent the past two and half years recording Talk Talk and their attention to detail is evident. To celebrate the release, the band recently finished a headlining tour of their native Australia with more touring plans in the works. “The Hills” is an infectious tune full of positive vibes and a great variety of challenges no matter the instrument. Guitars need to pay attention to the chord changes and the whole crew will be singing the chorus by the end of the song.
