Employee spotlights are back! Kicking off the new series we have Alicia Caillier, a Product Manager at Harmonix! Take it away Alicia!
Hey y’all!
My name is Alicia Caillier and I’m currently a Product Manager at Harmonix. I’ve been working at Harmonix since the Fall of 2016 when I started out as a Product Management Intern. After my internship ended, I joined the team as a full-time PM working closely with Jessa Brezinski on SingSpace and Super Beat Sports. Right now, I’m working on a top secret project, but in general I work on the business side of our products doing audience research, analytics, managing profit and loss statements, and a plethora of other really important things!
Before working at Harmonix I was living my best life in Valencia, a beach town on the east coast of Spain. I had the amazing opportunity to study at Berklee College of Music’s Valencia Campus in the Global Entertainment and Music Business Master’s Program. I spent a year learning about the music and entertainment industry while exploring Europe for the first time in my life. Going into the program I never thought that I would end up working in video games, but I was open to any opportunity to work in music. Through my post-graduate fellowship, I was given the opportunity to intern at Harmonix, and I haven’t looked back since.
The past year and a half working at Harmonix has been truly incredible! Outside of working with really cool and fun people, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to events and show off our products. My favorite moments so far are hands down traveling to London for SingSpace and to Seattle for PAX West. Representing Harmonix at these events was truly an honor. There’s nothing better than meeting press, fans, and the video game community at large who are just as excited about the games you are working on as you are.
If it weren’t for my trip to PAX West, I would have never signed up for Extra Life. This was one of the most fun and rewarding ways to spend my birthday to date. I played games for 24 hours and raised $3,000 for sick and injured kids at Boston Children’s Hospital, and I have my Harmonix family to thank for their support and generosity.
What is your favorite Harmonix game and why?
My favorite Harmonix game is DropMix, duh! I’m a DJ so Freestyle Mode is my jam and I’m very competitive so I love the competition of Clash Mode. Being a part of the internal DropMix League is a lifestyle.
What's your favorite Rock Band song of all time?
Bring Me To Life by Evanescence goes hard! I love the vocals, and it’s a classic throwback to my middle school days.
What Rock Band instrument do you play?
I’m a solid medium on Drums, but Expert Vocals is usually my choice.
What's your go-to Karaoke Jam?
I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston.
Favorite Super Beat Sports mini-game?
I love a good competitive match of Rhythm Racket, but Net Ball is just as fun too!

If you could trade places with anyone else at Harmonix for a week, who would it be?
I would love to trade places with our music team! Not only would I get to work with our music partners, but I would be able to do it in sunny LA.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation. I love to travel and do so often, but I also have friends and family all over the world who I miss dearly. If I could teleport to visit with them and travel to places I’ve never been without having to book flights or trains… that would just be incredible.
Would you rather be a pitch perfect singer, flawless dancer, or skilled musician?
Flawless Dancer so that I could finally go on tour with my idol, Beyoncé.
Do you play in any bands?
I’m not in a band, but I am a DJ. I go by DJ Pineapple because it’s my favorite hairstyle.
What's your go-to candy bowl candy / drink fridge beverage?
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Vitamin Water Zero Lemonade
